What does this test measure?
Measures anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (Anti-CCP) antibodies in the blood — autoimmune antibodies associated with rheumatoid arthritis.
Why is it ordered?
Used to help diagnose rheumatoid arthritis, especially in its early stages, and assess its likely course. It is highly specific for this disease and is interpreted together with rheumatoid factor (RF) and the clinical picture.
